Michelle Butler

After experiencing the challenges of being a single mother with three children and homeless, she began her journey in the non-profit work sector. And in 2012, Ms. Butler founded Hugs From Heaven, a 501(c) 3 organization.
Meet Michelle Butler, the inspirational founder of Hugs From Heaven. Michelle's journey is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of faith.

It was during this challenging period that Michelle's dream took shape. Fueled by her unwavering faith and determination, she conceived the name 'Hugs From Heaven.' This name represents not only the comfort and support she needed during her own difficult times but also her deep belief in a higher purpose guiding her mission.

Michelle's vision extended beyond her own story. She managed to secure a commercial space and, with unyielding dedication, transformed it into a resource center for homeless and low-income individuals and families. This resource center became a beacon of hope, providing essential support to those facing adversity.

Collaborations with local kitchens became a cornerstone of Hugs From Heaven's growth. Michelle understood that true change required community-wide efforts and partnerships, and she worked tirelessly to create networks that could serve those in need.

For Michelle, homelessness had a face, and she knew that anyone could find themselves in that situation. It was this awareness that drove her to give back and bless others who required assistance. Her story is a living testament to the transformative power of one's vision, faith, and determination. Today, Hugs From Heaven continues to carry forward her legacy, bringing hope, unity, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most.
